Birds of a feather flock together. A lot of the politicians are lawyers. Lawyers believe in the rule of law. If it is not illegal, then it is OK to do it. Most of believe that the law does not cover everything. Just because it isn't illegal does not make it moral. Remember, only criminals have rights.
