I'm speaking of yahoo answers being one of the ways to bring the lost to Christ. Do you believe the Internet being one of its methods? I do.

And it becomes more apparent when I see atheist creating websites to try to destroy the work of God.

Also do you believe its part of the spiritual battle God was speaking of in the bible?

God Bless. Love.

I LOVE to stand up for Christ.

One person may not read or understand or WANT the love of our God---but there are those who DO want an understanding of GOD, and how incredibly MUCH He loves us.

He accepts us as we are--
no proving ANYthing to ANYbody--especially the ones who put down Christ.
I have it in me to fight back with fight of good faith and words, to those who fight AGAINST the reason and purpose for God.

Not from what I have seen so far.
It seems to bring out the mindless,
head banger Christians that make
the rest of us look like fools.

Christians are better represented
as meek and mild. Not acid tongued,
brimstone slinging, "Bible Thumpers"
who try to act as though God is
Big Foot in a temper tantrum
coming after YOU!

God is our loving Father.
God is LOVE.

At first I was very enthusiastic about this site and its evangelistic potential but now I've become cynical. Good, well thought out answers rarely get thumbs up or voted best, and most question posers don't bother to comment on answers or even vote for a best answer. If your answer goes onto the second page it seems nobody at all will read it - you see no thumbs up or down after the first page.

I hope, like you, some people will be encouraged, challenged or even saved by this method but most people will stay with their existing prejudices, I'm afraid.

I'm not lost. I spent many, many years knowing exactly who Jesus was and exactly what his teachings were, and while I think he's a swell guy, I CHOOSE not to follow him because he's not walking on my path.

So sorry, but I really think this is a silly way for you to try to bring the lost to Christ. If it's something you're sincere about, I would suggest you rein in the zealots on this site who go around offending and insulting every non-Christian every time they get near a keyboard, since they aren't helping your cause at all.

Bright blessings!

No.

Yahoo Answers is a hobby to please oneself, nothing more and nothing less. I've sometimes compared it to picking up litter alongside the road. Sure, it seems noble at the moment.

But no one really notices, your own hands get dirty, and two weeks later there's just as much garbage alongside the road. The main benefit is that maybe you got some exercise.

True ministry is as the first century Christians practiced, and as the bible describes. Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation.

(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.

The preaching work makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

Stick with this forum any length of time and you'll find that you are on the front lines of the spiritual war.

Most of the time, however, you will only be planting seeds for other people to harvest, and setting an example of Christ's love by your writing.

Have you for once in your closed minded little insignificant life thought that maybe YOU'RE the ones who are lost? And as for "athiests creating sites to destroy the work of god", I dont think you can destroy something that never existed. Sorry for the hostility but this topic gets me a little worked up. Anyhow..I want you to do something..I challange you to open up that tiny little mind of yours and look at the world in a new perspective instead of the old "God created everything and im going to heaven so I dont have to know a gosh darn thing about anything and just trust in him." By the way.."faith" is far worse than any war or fighting..because it's "faith" that starts it all..it's "faith" that gets everyone riled up and saying "MY RELIGION IS THE ONE TRUE RELIGION!" and "NO MY RELIGION IS THE ONE TRUE RELIGION!" and a war insues. In closing I would like to again appologize for my harsh words, but at the same time, wish to inform you that there is a world out there that is ever changing and ever hateful. Be careful out there..and at least try to open up your mind.

No.

It is a way for me to bring the terrified and delusional back to reality and shove their faces in it like naughty puppies caught crapping against the plant pot.

Reality is a systematic chaos... the causality chain... and no more. It is the fallacy of purpose... the fact that humanity is headed nowhere, much as life itself is destined only for a certain destruction at an uncertain time... and then non-existence. All these things are what you are afraid of... what you hide in a fantasy to avoid..... the same things that even many athiests conveniently look away from because its "not healthy"...
We're finite and pointless... and there will be nothing to remember us by when we are gone.

You are on your way to destruction.
You have no chance to survive make your time.
Ha ha ha ha!

The Internet is definitely a channel that can be used to bring people to Christ.

BUT.. with that being said, 96% of all people are brought to Christ through personal relationships of those around them. So if you use this for proselytizing, you are wasting your time and making us all look bad.

YA provides a way for Christians to preach to each other and agree with themselves, and non-Christians to agree with each other about how out of touch with reality Christianity is. I like to think that Yahoo Answers expands peoples' minds rather than narrowing them, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Christians have always loved to fight; it makes them feel more secure in their beliefs.

"I know you're a Christian, but what are you Christian against?"

I certainly believe that due to internet accesibility the word of God can be spread faster to a broader spectrum of peoples. Many will take advantage of it, and they should; whether they are atheists, wiccan, pagan, hindu, muslim, whatever. This medium will probably be the next great battle ground of religion as we all strive to keep up with technology and bring God into the 21st century and beyond to all who wish to hear.
