Then explain why athiest who claim to have a "scientific mind" are so closed minded towards the Bible and it's veiw of creation.

It supposed to be, but in reality, it isn't. Everything is subjective, even the scientific mind. The reason is when you combine the scientific with the human mind, the equation will drastically change, and its' impartiality becomes conditional.

Yes, that's true, but all humans are imperfect, and scientists are no exception. The beauty of the scientific method is that it is designed to make steady progress towards greater knowledge even despite the fact that every scientist is flawed.

Religion is almost the opposite. There is no established process in religion to find mistakes in past dogma and correct them. As such, many theists today are contorting themselves trying to make a world view that can reject modern knowledge as being "just a theory, not a fact" and instead believe what a 2500 year old book claims to be true, despite evidence to the contrary.

supposed to be, yes. But there are some "open minded scientists" who can be very close minded and suffer from tunnel vision. IT's called being human. We are all like that. Open minded to a degree.

It wouldn't be a scientific mind otherwise. However, one must make sure that one does not open the mind so much that the brain falls out.
