Bone china is made of combination of ash bone ect.. just want to know what kind of ash used? If animal ash, what kind of animal?

cows because there are so many bones from processing their meat commercially. In old days it was cows, pigs, horses or whatever else they had around.

Here is the 'formula' for high quality English bone china: it's made from a combination of 25% china stone, 25% china clay and 50% calcined _cattle_ bones. Hope that helps!
