I have dirty blonde hair and am looking for a drastic change. Here's a pic of kind of what I want.

I would get it done professionally, but I just had a baby and all my money goes to her. I plan on going to Sally, and I'm sure someone there can help me, but I wanted to get someone else's opinion.

OK you need to die the bottom the darker color first with a black and use a 20 or 30 volumizer. After you finish the bottom half do the other half and I would get a frosty blonde or even white hair color Well has a Frosty blonde that would work great, if you live close to a Sally's. Use more hair for the black but not too much and make sure you layer the bottom just right to create the illusion of layers like the girl in the picture. Don't go to dark with the black because if its jet black glossy it will look tacky. And do not get any black on the lighter color because it will satin the lighter. They sell special shampoos for light hair because water can stain your hair color so make sure you get some of that as well.

It looks like a very layered razor cut. If you don't know how to cut hair, I would not attempt this at home. You may want to try to go to a beauty school. You can often get discounts there, but there is always a cost associated with looking great.

If your hair is natural and has NO colour on it, get a high lift blonde hair colour. The High lift hair colour works like a bleach but is easy to use and turns off at the right time. DO NOT ATTEMPT BLEACH BY YOURSELF. If you try to bleach your own hair, I PROMISE you will get spots, breakage, or a chemical burn. It is too difficult to do on your own.

it's ugly. Don't get the bangs, but get a hot messy look. Ashlee has had some cute messy cuts. Look for cute messy cuts, but that one... yuck! And those colors aren't in. Either go with platinum or black, don't do both. If you want blonde and black, medium blonde is more of the in for ontop.
