In Canada, I think the minimum is around 16 weeks up to 1 year.

Company's are not required to give maternity pay. This would be a question for her HR director.
As far as maternity leave, usually a woman takes 6 to 12 weeks.

That would vary with each work place. Did you know that some work places also allow the man to have maternity leave.. you might want to check that out, and enjoy the bonding with your new child, and your wife. Or, you may be able to take the leave after your wife has returned to work..

Varies by place of employment. The FMLA only requires unpaid maternity leave and the length depends on how many people are employed by the company in you area (not nationally). Accumulated sick pay may be used....best to check with the employee manual from your wife's place of employment.

Generally twelve weeks (with doctor approval) Six before and six afterwards. However, there are situations where it could be more. For example, if she runs into complications, her doctor will take her from work.
In some states, fathers can also take a leave from work after the birth of a child.

I don't believe there is an exact time limit for maternity leave..Every company has their own policy for leave and pay. She should contact her employer to figure out what their policy is and go from there.

She should ask the human resources department. It may depend on the company.
