I never smoked anything , never drank alchol , never used illegal street drugs.

Doctor put me on hydrocodone for pain.
I have gone from 4 pills a day to 2 pills a day, but can`t go any further without getting shakey and twitchey.
Went to a chiilderns birthday party , all the adults where offered some red wing , about 4 to 5 ounces in the glass.

For those of you who are belivers in GOD as I am , In the Bible it says to take a little wing for your stomachs sake, well because of the red wine I didn`t need a pill as I normally would have .

QUESTION: Any one who has , or has had , or knows of anyone who has hade this problem. Do you think taking two (4) 4oz. glasses of red wine would help me get off this Hydroconne stuff
without creating another problem ? I`m not addicted to anything else , but this stuff is awfull and I want off . HELP !

Using wine to ween off the hydrocodone will ony be switching troubles.
Your doc needs to ween you off the pain meds--there are effective ways to do this without any adverse side effects.

if your already down to two pills--try vutting them in half and doing a one and a half for a few days and then one and then a half and then none.

Hydrocodone is a highly addictive drug. You need to get with your doctor and explain your situation. This is a very common problem with Vicodin.

By using alcohol to phase out your need for the drug, you are only "trading a cane for crutch."

Good luck!

Have your Doctor switch you to Tramadol. 8- 50mg a day then taper off every 4 days. I had to do that with Codeine.

Any amount of alcohol mixed with drugs is a risk. I suggest you speak to your doctor and let him/her know what you are experiencing. They may slowly wean you off the medication which is the best method. If your or your doctor feels you still need meds, ask for something more mild.
