Well it all depends on the situation, if they are not together but talk alot, they might still be in that relationship its really complicatedthing i would say give it time, how long have they been seperated? how do you know for sure they re seperate, andwhat exactly do you mean "mess around" like have sex? if thats the case i wouldnt get involved because he has a 7 month old is he responsible enough to take on the responsibility of another baby? and not only that do you want a baby? whos to say if you were to get pregnant he wouldnt leave you as a single mother too? It all depends on the situation, ask him where things stand with him and his ex, etc...

Do you like babies? You would have a big part in raising the child. If you don't like kids and don't want to be a mom to his kid, don't do it.
