I ordered this CD of Catholic music, and when it came, there was a free gift in it, which was a blue scapular. I didn't realize this free gift would be in there, and thinking the package was just the CD, I kind of cut into it awkwardly. It turns out, I cut the corner off the scapular. It is just cut on the corner of the felt, and not on the part with the picture, or with the blessing. Would it be sacrilegious to wear a scapular that has a corner cut off?

I know, silly question.

No, it's ok to wear it. Mine fell off it's string and is held on by tape around the scapular. As long as it's wearable, keep wearing it. You can buy a new one if you really want a whole one. AS long as you're not abusing it, it's fine.

I thought the scapular was the shoulder blade bone.

Indeed, silly.

No. Corners are corners. Try snipping the other one for symmetry. It wasn't meant as damage and nothing important was cut.

Worrywart.

wear it if you feel inspired to, no it isn't sacrilegious, perhaps it is symbolic if you are cutting corners

I would think it would be fine to wear it. If you didn't cut it on purpose, I wouldn't think it is a big deal.
