Thanks you guys...Maxx, Lamplighter, mimi, etc...I know we don't all agree all the time, it's nice to get everyone's opinion, plus if I don't hear other's opinions I might be in danger of believing what I hear in the news (shudder). I don't live in a border state, but I know illegal immigration is a problem. I may be a liberal but I DON"T agree with letting illegals in and handing them a free ride when there are legals here who are struggling just to get by. Free hands outs don't help ANYONE. I think the source of the problem needs to be addressed and hopefully that will happen. I don't much trust the Democrats either, but maybe some are more willing to listen than others. I am going to make it a point of watching my senator and how he addresses it since he has some power. Time will tell, but thanks everyone for your time with this issue!

I object to your getting deleted. But as for how the fence will be paid for, in the current Republican administration, NOTHING is really paid for-- it's all red ink! Our grandchildren will be paying for the insane policies of Idiot Boy.

There isn't actually a plan to build a fence that was a ruse to get the public off of their back. They have placed cams in some areas and have asked the public to watch over the Internet and call if they see anything unusual. In an unusual turn of events the administration has managed to get enough of the Republicans replaced to allow them to ally with the democrats in opening the gates to illegal immigrants receipt of amnesty. The desires of the majority will be overran in this and irreparable damage will be done to the US. Opening the gates to Mexico has been the primary goal of the current administration and of course many in the Democratic Party. This is a big money deal which spells doom for the middle class US citizen. And of course a very major tax increase will be required to fund this over the coming years.

I am a rightwinger and I have had the same problem. I have had an account suspended for asking political questions. I have heard from many liberals who have the same issue.

I used to write on Answers on a daily basis but due to the violations reporting I rarely do now.

I do not think this is a liberal versus conservative issue I think it is that there are jerks on both sides of the aisle.

Hey, don't feel bad! Judging from my own experience it would seem that every single time anyone reports "abuse", that question and accompanying thread is automatically deleted by whoever is responsible for checking abuse. I don't think they even look at the questions. They've just got a long list of abuse reports linked to seperate questions... and I'm sure they go down that list and hit the delete button for every one of them.

I asked a civil, well-worded question yesterday... wasn't derogatory and did not in any way break the Yahoo guidelines, but it was deleted by this morning. Someone felt threatened by it, reported abuse and it was gone. I emailed yahoo, but all you ever get from them is an auto response saying "we'll look into it"... but they obviously don't.

It's disheartening to think of all the good and relevent questions being asked that are routinely deleted just because of someone's pathological insecurities. But that seems to be what's happening.

I'm sure you could ask the question, "What is Ketchup made from?" and if someone had an aversion to ketchup, reported abuse... the question would be gone by the next day.

What it serves to do is to bring down the whole level of discourse at yahoo answers to the mundane.

I have stopped asking questions because so many were deleted. I am a conservative. I have complained to Yahoo about removing questions for no reason.

I LIKE seeing people disagree with me - I come here to argue!

No doubt this will all be deleted too.

I wouldn't report you, I love bashing Liberals with my keypad. You will see as time goes on, not very many reported questions actually get deleted. It just stings when they do. I am enjoying the game so much more since I figured it out.

I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, there are some right-wingers here who can't stand it when anyone disagrees with them, so they take advantage of the opportunity to have the questions and answers they don't like deleted.
