Wow, that's creepy! :) My 2nd's at the same time tomorrow! Best of luck. <3

It probably sounds stupid, but I own this stuff called "Remedy Relief" , you spray it under your tongue and it magically calms you down... simple as that - I found it worked!

Anyway, if you haven't got that or can't get it, just focus on breathing steadily. I liked talking to the examiner to take my mind off of things.

Drink lots of water before you go - but not so much that you're going to need to go to the loo all through your test. ;) I mean enough that it should clear your mind, and keep you hydrated and that's the best for concentration.

You should only feel nervous and cloudy minded for a few minutes. The rest'll fly by!

Good luck! :)

(Do you know how much you're freaking me out right now? I have a blood test tomorrow aswell!)

Technique #1 : Sit in a comfortable position.(optional) Imagine breathing in white light with each breath, the light is in the nature of calm, still, peace, relaxation. See the light permeate the entire body, dissolving tension. Breath deeply & slowly. On the exhalation, breath out imaginary black smoke, the smoke is in the nature of nervousness, shakiness, fear, anxiety. See the smoke coming through every part of the body into the lungs & out with the exhalation. Imagine that the smoke dissappears harmlessly in the distance. Do this practice as long as you like - it's very good for alot of things - it's called black & white breathing.

Technique #2 : Sit in a comfortable position.(optional) Feel the nervousness & shakiness, etc. Become aware of it by calmly looking at one thing at a time, say, the tightness in the stomach, for example. Keep narrowing the focus until whatever you are focussing on is small enough for you to be able to stay in one place without moving. Now, relax that place in you body. (the stomach is very good to start with) Stay focussed just on the stomach & let go of the tension, let go of the tightness, stay with it until there is a soft, relaxed stomach there. Breath slowly & deeply. Move on to another part & relax it. By the time you are done, you will feel alot better.

Technique #3 : Think it through to the end - look at the whole sequence of events. Tomorrow, I will take a driving test. What can happen? Either I pass or I fail. The instructor will not put me to death if I fail. He or she will address me in a professional manner; driving instructors are professionals who test thousands of people every year. If I pass, I pass. If I fail, I will know something that will help me for next time. No matter what happens, I will live. There will be no explosions at the facility. There will be no land mines on the driving course. The surfaces are solid. No one is shooting at me. It's only a test. Thousands of people take this test every day. Some pass. Some fail. Every outcome is a normal part of life. This is OK no matter what happens. Keep thinking like this. It is realistic. Exagerated fear comes from unrealistic thinking.

You can use these techniques anytime for many different situations. There is no reason to suffer from anxiety like you describe. Look directly at it - the fear, the tension - & then act as above. Fear & tension are real but they are created by our mind & body - that means they can be un-created just as easily.

Good Luck!

;-)

You are putting too much importance on the outcome of the test. What's the worse that could happen. You fail? What's the worse that could happen? You make another appointment.

Many people need to take the test 2 or three times before getting their licenses. Not a biggy.

Remeber JFK Jr had to take the bar exam a couple of times before he passed, and he was a Kennedy!

So, if you don't pass the first time, it's all okay. Just proves you're normal. If you pass, cool.

Don't be so tied into the results. You will ultimately get your license whether it happens tomorrow or next week.

once you get your license and get on the road you will wonder how the other people who are driving around ever got their license. Just because you get a license, doesn't mean you know how to drive.

Drink plenty of plain old water. Hydration is the most important way to soothe one's nerves

Just think of the driving test as if you are just walking with other people. If you dont learn to walk or drive, you cant go to other places. Help yourself !
