Feining illnes are we? Hmm... A cup of hot cocoa or tea will increase your mouth's temperature, provided they're using an oral thermometer.
You should watch the 1980s movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I'm sure it'll give you plenty of ideas.
Did you know that feining illness in a time of war to avoid fulfilling one's duty is punishable in accordance of the UCMJ by firing squad? We *sigh* are at war you know...
Enjoy your day off!

You will probably get a fever by the end of the day if you really have an infection or virus. Don't take any medication because that will stop the fever rising. Get better.

You cannot contract a fever at will.

If your feel as bad as that you need to see your Doctor or Practice Nurse - you cannot get a fever without contracting an illness. Your symptoms may be the result of a viral infection but you should still see your Doctor to avoid the potential disbelief of your parents and the school.

Best wishes - hope that you reover soon.

Uh-uh - there's no way to 'get' a real fever except if your body is fighting an infection of some sort. Don't fake it - just tell your parents the truth!

You can't. A fever is a body's reaction to an infection. It is trying to kill the infection by itself. If you've faked or skipped school in the past, I can see where you may have a problem convincing them. Be honest with your parents and they will learn to trust you.

Are you for real?

If you're sick, you're sick. You can't give yourself a fever on purpose! I mean, I suppose you could get into someone's biology lab and sniff the flu viruses. But what sane person woudl want to do that?

You sound like you are in enough pain, you don't want a fever trust me. Ask your parents to take you to the doctor you need to get checked.

You don't have to have a fever to be sick. Don't try to deceive your parents; they're on YOUR side. If you feel sick, just tell them that you're sick and tell them why. If you're just avoiding school because you haven't done your homework, do it before they get home.
