My roomate and her boyfriend are often snuggling in various public places, then it goes to kissing people often stare and they don't seem to get it. At my other roomate's choir performance the other night they were even kissing and etc etc. How do we tell her? Is there a drawing point for PDA?

How about just telling her that her kissing with her boyfriend in front of you and others makes you and them uncomfortable.

You can do this in private, but that would make the conversation more serious. Maybe you should wait and until they're in full lip-lock and get the whole group to shout-"Get a room!" It might be humorous and they might get the message.

Either way, you should realize their behavior is a violation of proper boundaries and reminding them of that is perfectly appropriate.

I know exactly what you're talking about. When I was in college, I'd travel 150 miles to visit my bf at her college and when I was there, all they would do is make out in front of everyone. I never said anything 'cause I thought she'd say "You're just jealous" but on the contrary, it was rude and gross and I know it bothered everyone. Your friend has gone overboard. You and her other friends need to tell her GENTLY that while you're happy for them, they need to tone it down a bit. Kissing during a performance is disrespectful to your other friend and tell her it hurt her feelings. Also, tell her that everyone is staring and snickering. Tell her a peck on the cheek and holding hands in public is fine but leave the reast till they're in privacy. You could also leave an anymous note. Or you could tell strangers to say "Get a room." PDA is often a sign of insecurity so your friend might get defensive. Make sure you tell her it makes you feel uncomfortable. If it continues, you may request a different roomate. The sad thing is that this relationship may not last and she's risking her friendships for some jr.highschool behavior. GOOD LUCK!
