Tell him!!!!! Give him a pack of gum and some floss (cause bad breath is usually caused by not flossing or brushing regularly or properly). You could even do it anonymously by putting it in a bag, with a note and put it on his desk. Although this may make him a little uneasy--he may be embarrassed and think that everyone knows. You should just tell him with a pack of gum and say "hey man--we are friends and as your friend I want you to know your breath is kickin and it might be in your best interest to hook your mouth up with a daily routine!!" Or something!! :)

I had this problem with my boss. I'd suggest approaching him yourself and then telling him that the others have asked you to tell him what the problem is.
That way you make the point without it being too personal.
What I actually did with my boss was send him an email simply stating that it made it difficult to work closely. It worked.
Another idea might be to just buy him some mouth wash as a hint. Saves a bit of face?

Woow! it did happen to me, i even aske it here... i find the guts to tell a friend she has bad breath & she was glad i told her... she even send me a card thanking me for telling her the truth... only her wished was if i only told her sooner her gum disease would have been treated sooner. The way i told her, i invited her for a movie night in my place & have my gift for her, a pack of dental floss, mouth wash & strong mints in a bag i barrowed for her when i handed her the bag she was wondering what was inside and when she opened it i told her the reasone why i put the items inside... Well it works & never offended her.

while you're rather her chum you will desire to, yet be tactful please. it relatively is a possibility that she's on drugs that would reason this type of problem. many times ingredients would reason discoloration of tooth. Sounds unusual yet i became so embarrassed approximately having undesirable breath at one time till i found out that of all issues potato chips have been the perpetrator. no rely how plenty I brushed my tooth it did no longer look to rely. only be mushy on your attitude.

If you're a good friend to him, you should tell him.. at the end of the day, it's better he hears it from someone whose his friend rather than someone who will take the p**s out of him.
