Marco Negri's feat of scoring 32 goals before Christmas was an awesome achievement, but then he got something wrong with his eye and did very little after that. Henrik Larsson was one of the finest strikers imported to Scottish football, as Brian Laudrup was probably the finest winger ever imported here. But for all Larsson's goals, none have a better record of achievements than Ally McCoist. More than 300 goals for Rangers in his career and is the only Scottish based winner of the Golden Boot, not once, but twice.

Larrson by a long way.Negri never fulfilled his potential at Ibrox because he was always injured which eventually forced him into retirement.Di Canio and Laudrup were different types of players to Larrson but to my mind Laudrup was streets ahead of Di Canio.

I rate Henrik Larrson & Brain Laundrup both as the best foreign imports ever to play in the premier.

Who cares who's the best, Di Canio gave me the best laugh ever when he scored a penalty against Hearts at Celtic park and then promptly got himself sent off for fighting with Rousset. Brilliant.
Best forward line in scotland though was the Van Hoojdonk, Cadete and Di Canio, awesome, pity they played for Celtic though and not Hearts

As a goal scorer, I don't think you will get better than John Robertson of Hearts. The guys you mention were better footballers, but, to score the volume of goals he did, season after season, and playing for a team outwith the Old Firm where goal scoring opportunities are laid on a plate, deserves great credit.
And I hated the little fcuker as well. He always scored against Killie.

Larrson was by far the most superior all round player I've seen.
Laudrup was on the other hand was ultimatly talented.
Negri was just a goal scorer and nothing happened to him it was just that he had very little in his bag of tricks that after playing all the SPL teams twice they had learned them all and was ineffective because he was marked out of the game
