I guess the big problem I have with him winning is what went down in Daytona. I was always told that cheaters never win. Yet they cheated (not the first time, won the race, got caught, and didn't lose nearly as many points as they got for the win.
So in Nascar, I guess cheaters do win! Explain that one to your children.

There is hope that Johnson could choke like he has the last 2 years. he's gotten good at loosing the chase!
As for your comment about Hendrick in general, I disagree with it. If Gordon never sees the Nextell cup again and if Johnson and Kyle Busch never win it, I'll be happy, but next season my man Casey will be a hendrick driver and I hope he wins 10 chases! Don't hate them all because 3 out of 4 are gay idiots!

The chase isn't over yet, there is still hope. In capturing the championship in 1992 Alan Kulwiki overcame a bigger deficit in the last race.

I agree. If Johnson, Gordon, and Vickers drove for anyone else--I could probably be a fan of theirs. Until then, I hope Johnson has a DNF at Homestead and one of the other guys wins the Cup. Vickers can't even wreck his own teammate at the beginning of the race when it would cost Johnson the most points! Hendrick is a crook and doesn't deserve another championship.

While I am hoping and praying that Dale Jr can pull off a miracle and win the championship I think that Johnson is gonna win this one this year.
Unless something insane happens on Sunday...Johnson is the 2006 Nextel Cup Series Champion!

It will not be tainted if Jimmie wins it. Hendrick will win plenty of more championships and you're just gonna have to deal with it. Since you said that about it being tainted all I have to say is. . . GO WOLVERINES!!!

No offense to any Johnson fans out there, but I'm hoping he blows an engine .............. on the pace lap !
I really don't think Jimmie is at fault for a lot of the problems on his team. I think Chad Knaus is too sneaky. If Jimmie wins so does Chad, and I don't think they are a winning team.

GREAT POINT BUT GET YORU FACTS RIGHT. THEY DIDN'T LOSE ANY POINTS FOR THE RULES INFRACTION IN DAYTONA. CHAD GOT SUSPENDED FOR 4 RACES AND THERE WAS A MONEY FINE...IN RACING.... EXSPECIALLY SANTIONED RACING ALL CARS ARE CLOSE TO BEING EQUAL. IT IS THE TEAMS JOB TO FIND THAT LITTLE EXTRA SOMEWHERE. THAT MEANS PUSHING THE ENVALOPE FROM TIME TO TIME. AND WHEN THE ENVELOPE BREAKS THEN YOU START OVER. EVERY ONE CHEATS. THE ONES THAT ARE NOT CHEATING ARE THE MORGAN MCLURE TEAMS AND PPC RACING ETC... RUNNING IN THE BACK. I do not see how the most consistent driver out there can taint it??? He is a good sport and a great driver...furthermore, I used to despise Gordon...but you must admit...he has matured and came a long ways...he is no longer the whiner...that is Tony Stewart's position....Johnson & Gordon....Hendrick racing....rule!!! Look at the scenario when his own teammate (Vickers) spun him and the BEST driver (Dale Jr.) out......he was understandably frustrated...but by comparison he did not have a "Stewart Tantrum"....

Let's see.. last time I checked the Chase was set up to award consistency..and well, even though Princess is not my favorite driver the team has had it this year. They lost it, but found their way back..so if that means he drives out of there with the Cup it's b/c they worked hard and deserve it.
