i have never done this before although I have seen other people at the airport do it. but what type of cling film do i get to use to wrap luggage

can i use ordinary kitchin cling film?

please advise.

have you travelled with wrapping your luggage with cling film, and what is your reason for doing so

Don't bother... If you check luggage in the US, the TSA will screen your checked luggage and may open it... they will cut off any cling wrap... they can cut off locks if they are not the right type. There are actually approved locks that they can open if they need to... check their site: http://www.tsa.gov/ You'll have your carry ons with you.

I have never done it myself.Theory is if luggage is cling film wrapped it ,means no one can open luggage and put stuff in and smuggle drugs or stuff into the country you are travelling to

maybe to prevent tampering. it might even be a US law now, they almost had me investing in Duct Tape, I dunno what the prez is gonna tell me to be skeered of next.
