Shave your head.

No, seriously, the shampoo only kills the little buggers - you'll have to meticulously comb the nits out with a nit comb. Plus - wash all bedding in hot water. Any things that can't be washed should be tightly bagged up for about two weeks - then stick those things in the dryer (if possible) on high heat.

Also, for maintenence - until you are sure the infestation is done, go to a health food store that sells health and beauty products and grab some shampoo with mela leuca (not sure of the spelling) in it. That should keep them at bay. Keep in mind that most lice shampoos are pesticides - and should be used as little as possible.

Nix is the best that we have tried. Be sure you wash all the bedding and clothes that have been worn in hot water. Go through the hair with a lice comb and spray all furniture with the lice spray. Good Luck.

forget the shampoos it can cause brain damage some of them. What works best n this is with experience is extra virgin olive oil n vinegar.Tetri oil is good for a while to keep them gone. They also have a spray which is good and if you throw your cloths sheets etc in the dryer on high for 20 min it will kill them or bag everything for 30 days to suffocate them.Go through the hair everyday until you find nothing cause if you miss 1 es then a week later all of a sudden you have them again.

You need to get your self to wallgreens or walmart and go to the pharmacy section and inthe aisles there is a section for lice sprays and shampoos. Get the kit... You have to treat your car... bedding couches ... chairs .. exetra ... Making sure the nits are out of your hair is the first step. They have stuff online... but I say go .. bite the bullet and get it at a drug store... buy a few things if you feel funny... remember to treat your funriture... before sitting on it.

Rid is the classic shampoo for lice. There might be other brands out there, but that's the "old standby".
