Well, if you have that pain before each period, that means you get breast cancer 12 times a year! Not funny. Actually, it is totally normal for females to experience breast tenderness and painful areas in the breast tissues before they have menses. This is caused by an influx of hormones, and swelling of the breast tissues as your body prepares itself for mensturation. Some females have more than others, but it is normal. To clarify, when most women and/or men (men get breast cancer as well) discover they have breast cancer, often times they don't have any pain, they just have a "lump". If you are very concerned about your left breast pain, contact your physician or see a specialist in the female medicine area.

If there is no breast cancer in your family chances are low (but not zero) Most likely it is the changes in hormones that cause your breast to get tender and swell that make it hurt...a lot!! My breast actually hurt like they did when I was pregnant -which is Severe!!! If the pain goes away within a day or so of your period starting or being over...then that was it. If the pain is continual go see your doctor..constant pain is NOT normal...good luck.

No. Your discomfort usually associated with a mild fullness of your breasts as well , experienced just before and with your periods are part of the pre menstrual syndrome due to increased vascularity ie. blood supply to the reproductive system. This is very normal.
Infact the commonest sign or symptom of breast cancer is a painless palpable lump ie. breast cancerss are usually painless.

Definitely no.Hormonal changes cause your breasts to change during pre-menstrual period in expectation of pregnancy (as does your uterus and all your body). Its the breast engorgement that causes that pain. However, better check with your doctor about cancer since you are concerned.

Normal, every woman experiences some type of discomfort as the hormone levels change. Are you getting regular mammograms and doing self examinations? Talk with your doctor during your next check up.

It is honestly impossible to answer such a question without seeing a radiography of the breast. Usually cancer at the beginning is painless. But go see a doctor and quickly!!
