Communication is a very important factor, respect, love, affection, compromise, having fun together, never letting the relationship get stale, common goals, dreams, and interests, and one of the most important things I think is never taking the other person for granted. Always treasure the other person's love as u do in the beginning of the relationship.

Honesty, trust and compromise in all matters. Accept that you are never going to agree on everything all of the time. Accept that you each have a need for some time away once in a while.

I think how a lot of relationships fail is because people are looking for perfection in there partner. (NO SUCH THINK) everyone has quirky little things that annoy other people. I like to pull my toe nails off and eat them (Yes I know its gross) . BUT I don't get drunk and hit my gf. I don't steal money off my gf and not pay her back . I buy her nice things etc etc. I think what I am trying to say is you have to give and take. Nobody is perfect. Trust is good as well.

two options here
1 - stay single, get a dog and have loads of fun together - will always greet you when you get home in a happy way - wont ever get the hump with you and will be faithful
2 - find someone true, honest, and fun, who's also a little bit daft and get a dog together.....always got something to keep you linked together then - even in the bad times.

Don't take an argument too far. If it can be forgotten in a few hours don't bother arguing, just let it lie.
Honesty, always go to bed with a kiss, even if you are mad at each other.
