what every dad's desire is to see the happiness in his child's life at any cost or at any risk. So sit quietly. Think of the lovely days from your childhood that you have spent with your father and write down a letter which expresses how happy you are giving all the instances in which he had performed superbly for your life. Give it to him with a red rose.
If you are asking about a gift in a shop think of what he loves as others will not know about him.

Take all your dad's old pictures and create a mural. Or scan the photos into the computer and make a mini-movie for him. Simpler ideas would mean spending more money. Buy him men's perfume or a nice shirt.

Take him out for dinner or lunch, followed by a good movie. To top it of get him a nice golf shirt or if you're really stuck........get him a gift voucher in a department store........!! (if he's a sports fan.........then save up cash and by him tickets to a match he really wants to see ) ;)
