Yet, on a question just now having the Atheists stand up and say hi, we actually had thumbs down votes simply because we are Atheists. Not for something we said, but just because we are Atheists and believe differently then the religious folk in here.

Is that very Christian-like?
Doesn't the bible tell you not to judge others?
Is there no way we can stop generalizing groups of people because they have different beliefs?
Does this not prove that Y/A R&S is just a place for all beliefs to bully other people because they are different?

Oh..and btw...I'm not generalizing. I'm calling out the specific "christians" that judged us, and simply asking the others what they think of this?

You ask Atheists questions...we answer them.

Some of us actually want to learn more about religion. We are people who seek knowledge and truth, and we can't do that without understanding other religions and beliefs.

We quote your bible because that is the only basis you have for your religion.

Yet, when you don't follow your own rule book, it doesn't make sense to us.

Christ followers do tend to call others out based on beliefs. If you choose to not believe - that is your choice. It makes Christians sad when folks choose to turn from God because we are called to reach out to others, however we can't force you to do anything. It's your choice. Just like no Christians are perfect - we spend our life time trying to become more Christ like and that is something we simply can't achieve but something we can strive for. Peace be yours.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

A Christian does not have to support your lifestyle of living with out God or Jesus. You may be getting a thumbs down, but you ar also being prayed for, which is a greater thing, that a silly cartoon thumb on a computer screen.

Christians love the people, but don't support the lifestyle of the non believer. I doubt that it was you as a person who got the thumbs down, rather than the fact that you deny God and Jesus who love you more than you will ever know.

I don't even see the point of having a thumbs up - thumbs down feature, but most of us don't care how our questions or answers are rated. We are all just stating our opinions, and everyone is entitled to that.
What I find interesting is that atheists claim not to believe in God and His Word(the Bible),but they sure don't have any trouble using scriptures as weapons against the Christians. This is just my opinion, but that just seems a little hypocritical. I'm not judging. That is not my place, but I don't see how atheists can use God as an argument for anything, especially since they don't believe He is real.

Christians are people. People make mistakes. Simple as that.

Just curious......What draws an Atheist to a site dedicated to Religion and Spirituality ?? I thought you folks didn't believe in Religion or Spirituality.

I too am an atheist. I've come to realize that I'm more than proud of that everyday I read the religious fanatics rantings and ravings about us all going to "hell". I'd rather be who I am than one who points fingers are those who are different.

I never give thumbs down for people just because of what religion they are or aren't. Just if I disagree with them.
But then, I am a pagan, so I'm used to the "thumb 'o death.'
Peace )O(

I am Christian and offer what I believe to be the truth. After that point you can do with it what you want to. The Bible warns that if we judge, then we will also be judged by that standard.
