With the proper diet, yes, it will lose tummy fat, and fat from the rest of your body. You cannot pick and choose where to lose fat from. Your body will burn it from everywhere all at once. Some area have more, and will take longer to lose, but if you keep it up (eating properly and exercise), you will lose it.

Hi! Great question. I'm a personal trainer & one of the mistakes I see people making the most often is trying to lose tummy fat by doing ab work. Tummy fat, and all body fat really, is best diminished by - as someone on here already said - burning more calories than you consume in any given day. A great way to do that is cardio exercise, which includes walking. Now how much fat you will lose depends on a couple different factors, such as how fast / hard you are walking and how many calories you're taking in in your diet. Walking is definintely going to help, but take a hard look at your diet too and see if there are changes you can make there. The bad news is that you can't specifically target tummy fat with cardio, but the good news is that you should lose fat all over if you're working hard enough - including your tummy. Also if you're really serious about losing tummy fat, look at your diet specifically for how much refined carbs you're taking in (keep things in your diet that include whole-wheat and grains, but try to diminish products that are high in sugar or "white" starchy carbs) - check out products to see how much sugar they have and how much fiber they have. More fiber can help diminish bloating in your diet but decreasing how much water you retain. Also make sure you are drinking enough water, because drinking too little tricks your body into thinking you need to retain the little you are drinking which also leads to belly bloat . And finally, try to diminish your sodium intake which also leads to water retention. You're doing a great thing for your body by walking, so keep it up!

When you start exercising, it becomes a sort of habit and it is better you do it everyday Some lazy persons might say you do it on alternate days and suggest a false reason. Sure, doing tummy exercises certainly reduces your tummy but if it is combined with a good fat free diet, it helps you lose weight in other areas also. It gives you a good proportionate look.

Fat is stored energy that the body hasn't used. Anytime you eat more food than your body can use for energy, it gets stored as fat. In order to lose weight, you must burn more calories (energy) than you consume over a period of time (plan on 1-2 pounds per week). There are 3500 calories in one pound, so burning an extra 500 calories per day and reducing caloric intake should work.

Don't be discouraged if the loss isn't where/how you think it will be immediately. Remember it doesn't go on quickly and it won't come off quickly either. Stay committed to developing a healthier you and the rest will follow, just as you would like. Good luck!

You can not target an area for fat loss. You have to lower your body fat% to lose weight all over. Diet and cardio six days a week can do this. Make sure you get your heart rate up the whole time you exercise.

Sit-ups have absolutely no effect on the rate at which you lose "tummy fat." It is about getting and maintaining a daily caloric defecit over a period of time.

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)
