In Malaysia its kind of weird. So many don't bother being serious about Islam, yet many do. Malays, Indians, Chinese, and other foreigners.
In India, its very divided...a mess. But all Indians
In Saudiah, its not bad at all. Saudis, other Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, Filipinos, Indonesians, and many many others.

Quite a mix... A lot of Palestinian / Lebonese and a lot of Afghani, but also Indian, Pakistani, Malaysian, African, African-American, a handful of Navajo Muslims and quite a few Anglo-Muslims. We have an interesting place in Abiqui, New Mexico... a communal Muslim village. Albuquerque is quite a mix. A lot of Muslims in New Mexico are either in the jewelry wholesale busines, or scientist for Sandia or Los Alamos National Labs. We also have a lot of engineering students. The general population of immigrants are students and business men. Islam is thriving here. We just built a brand new masjid which opened on the last thursday of Ramadhan for public use. It has been a special year for Muslims so far. I just moved here from Connecticut (your neck of the woods) but now i'm in a new neck which is over the mountains neck of the woods! but quite beautiful. Allah is great.

99% is muslims poplulation , but unfortunatly not much following the religion properly.......i bron in muslim country n get everything that is needed to know the religion , but still sister unfortunaltly my society is not that good, though Alhamdulillah there are soo many good muslims practising islam but there are many whom i wont call good muslims, espcialy about hijab , thats a thing which make me sad, ladies dont follow it,i dont know why moderinsm is rusting our brains that we have forgotton our origin,following the trends which are not actualy ours, i hate this kind of moderism, a female should look like a female not showpiece. sorry getting emotional:P
but good news is that Islam is striking our youth brain. and more peoples are interested in knwoing their religion....and i m hopful that inshALlah it, ll come out the best.

well, if i told u the percentage of muslims living in my country and in my town especially (70%) u would probably say - mashallah. but unfortunately, 70% of that number are muslims by birth only, trying desperately to keep pace with the rest of the europe and losing their identity on that journey. as for my direct neighbourhood - alhamdo lellah!!! very devoted people mashallah
EDIT: oh, mostafa reminded me of our mesjid. we built one in my street (only 3 houses away from mine) and i feel so proud to have God's house so close to me now

hmm...well where i live,i guess 90% are muslims,but aroung 50% or 60% are real practitioners of Islam,...still my friends n colleagues, are Allhumdulillah can be considered very good muslims,n i am really really grateful to Allah for this.
