You can draw this conclusion by negating the things that you perceive. The perceiver and perception can not be one on the same. For example, if your finger is cut, you feel the pain. You feel the pain means, the “You” is not the pain itself. By this logic, when you experience anything in this world, you always remain as an experiencer whether it is pain or pleasure, it is not independent of the experiencer. Your experiences can change but not you, the experiencer. Your perceptions can not exist independent of you.

I feel,
1.Be honest & be your self :Dont try to lie just to please the other person.It may pls the person momentatrily but will not last for long
2.Accept the way they are
3.Tell them frankly about what you like in them
4.Be humourous & positive
5.Be a good listener when a person is down
6.Assist when someone needs help
7.Never speak bad about another person

First off you have to like that person then you have to ask alot of questions and be really intrested in what that person has to say. Be intrested and do things with them...ie movies, out eating...i'm not sure how old you are...but use your judgement. If you have things in common go do those things. Be friendly and apperciate their time along with yours.

I find that being patiant with others and really listening to them when they talk keeps the friendship strong.
