the best way to take the 'edge' off grey hair is to have beige highlights.

There comes a point when you have to say, I'm grey. No amount of
highlights, dye jobs, etc. is going to make us any younger. We need to
accept that this is a new stage of our life. I would not trade anyone my
life. I am happier with myself now than I have ever been. If I had to get
some grey hair in order to accomplish that then oh well. Be happy. Be
yourself. Grey is groovy.

Do you mean blonde highlights? Would be ok if you had an overall colour done first in a darker shade, but dont think it would look right on grey hair

well- to the ney sayers here- I can vouch for a few ladies I know that have a lot of grey hair and they *thought* they would quit coloring/highlighting...and they looked much older than what they did when they colored their hair.
The best thing to do is to go lighter with hair color rather than going dark or back to whatever your natural hair *used* to be. That is not as attractive.
Good luck!

definitely think blonde highlights would be good. get advice on the colour and you will need to keep your hair in a short smart cut. all blonde may the next step if it suits your skin. worth getting it done somewhere they take time to talk it through.

I think it can look good on some people but the most important thing is to get it done by a really good colourist. They will be able to advise you of what looks best-eg they might give you low lights instead....why not? You only live once, go for it!!
