I just found a SUPER NICE 02 explorer xlt.....it is honestly in PERFECT condition inside and out......BUT......it has 129000 miles on it !!! I am confident it is ALL highway, as the truck drives literally like its brand new !!

They are asking $7,200 for it, is it worth it ???

Hey if you have a mechanic friend, take them with or take the vehicle to a mechanic before you buy it. Get a carfax report on it to see if it was reported in any accidents or anything. But the main thing is, take it to a mechanic of your choice, not the the dealer (if thats who you are going through) they might say "well we put it through a 125 point inspection by our own mechanics" Just tell him you feel better taking it to a mechanic of your own. And if they have a problem with that, then there usually is something wrong with it. Good luck.

you did half of the research you need. (more that most do) Now, check out the service history of the vehicle. and "common" problems w/ that make and model. Just off hand, I know that at the ford dealership my friend works at they call them "ford exploders" because the transmissions are crap.
