You can do it yourself with a spray gun pretty cheap but that doesn't sound like an option for you unless you already own the equipment. A basic paint job for your travel trailer will probably cost you about $500-1200. Painting it the same color with no repairs, no need to prime, etc. will give you the best price. Any repair to the paint surface (including sanding rough spots and filling holes) ups the price. Ask around, you may be able to get it as low as $300 (but that'll be by some poor guy that will prove you were better off doing it yourself.)

I've read the first two answers.

I have to suggest that it depends on what paint you wish to use, and the finish desired after the fact. Certainly if you want it to be as it was after manufacture, then a quality enamel, sprayed on is the way to go.

The Q also depends largely on WHO will paint the trailer. YOU? Or a comapny like Maaco,,, for example.

Really basic could be as simple as a roller and a few cans of exterior enamel. Not that I'm advising that, but it certainly would give you a finish,,,protection from the elements.

I paint for a living, but not vehicles. I suggest that would be a category you list the Q in,,,"vehicles"

I doubt there is an answer regarding approximate, or average.
