I was seeing a guy for a few months and he went away to nigeria to work on the oil rigs, he came back to great britian for a training course and we met up. we got on great and it was if we had never been apart. i really would like to make a go of this and wait for him, does anyone have any similar experiences, he might be away again for 6 months, do you honestly think he wants the same as he drove 3 hrs just to meet me?

only you can really know whats going on with him because you know him and we dont...my advice to you is that if you love him and really think he is worth waiting for then wait for him...good luck

He's taking it slow just like you should. Men in this type of work find relationships difficult to keep going cos 6 months of being on your own when everyone at parties etc is in a couple is difficult to say the least. Then theres the worry about faithfulness.
Continue taking it slow a relationship with a bloke who works away for months at a time is extremely hard to handle.

Don't put your life on hold. Talk to others. But keep him on your radar. If he wants it to go to the next level, he'll let you know. If he wants a relationship, you can break off ties with others.

you absolutely have to find out how he feels about you, has he said anything at all, about how he feels? if he has he could be worth the wait but if he leaves and doesn't say anything, i don't think you should put your life on hold...................does he call, when hes away?
