We have been dating for about 6 mos. She has been distant for about 3. I know what most people would say, she's got someone else, she's still looking, etc., but I am really convinced that it's more a situation where she is really torn about what she wants and she doesn't know. But she doesn't seem to be doing anything about it. I have resigned myself to backing off for a few days, maybe a week. Ladies esp., how long should I expect to wait until she has taken a realistic, objective look at what she has and could have vs what she would have if she goes on alone? I am certainly not perfect, but I treat her well, and she treats me wonderfully. She just doesn't come around nearly often enough for my liking.

Don't loose touch with her cos it will effect whatever decision her mind makes...I know if I were wondering the same thing and the person didn't keep the connection, I'd feel like it was just a dating experience and nothing long term. My advice, don't wait...stay around her and make sure she knows how you feel about the both of you.

Speak up and tell her that you want something a little more serious. She could be distant thinking you are the one not wanting a serious relationship. And the only way you will know for sure whether or not you two are on the same page is to ask.

Good luck!!

if i was seeing someone and they had been distant for 3 months id want to know the reason, mabey she is having second thoughts about the relationship. Talk to her the next time you see her and just ask her straight where you stand, lifes too short to hang about with someone who doesnt love you.

tell her that if she doesn't want to have a real relationship by, say, 8 months, then you're going to look for someone who does.
