Prostheses.
Sorry, I've been online too long...How about spending valuable time with him? Helping him do things he can't for himself. Read aloud to him, or help him around the house, or just share a good movie, some music, a laugh. He probably gets very lonely.

Do you buy shoes and trousers or shirts and bracelets for people with arms and legs then?

Do you not think that's a bit of an insensitive question to ask? If you don't know the person very well, get to know them a bit better and find out their likes or dislikes. Maybe there's some music they'd like or something like that.

Disability does not transform people from human beings into people transfixed with their inability, he probably doesn't even think about it so why should you?

This is a hard question. I have a friend that is somewhat like your friend. He does have arms, but no legs, legally blind, CP, and a broken neck. What I do for my friend is give him the gift of friendship. I go every week and read to him, talk to him, and if he needs to have letters written I do that for him. You can always give him the gift of music - my friend loves to listen to music. Or something homemade in the food line. Above all, give him your time - that is the best gift you could give a disabled person. Believe me, they apreciate it.

I was gonna say a guitar(seriously)...lol...we should laugh at other peoples misfortunes. How big is he? If he is only small why not suprise somebody else by wrapping him up and giving him as a gift...for sure they would love it!
