The Bible never gives an exact count, but Jesus’ siblings are mentioned in several Bible verses. Matthew 12:46, Luke 8:19, and Mark 3:31 say that Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him. Jesus had four brothers: James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas (Matthew 13:55). Jesus also had sisters, but they are not named or numbered (Matthew 13:55-56). In John 7:1-10, His brothers go on to the festival. In Acts 1:14, His brothers and mother pray for Him. Later in Galatians 1:19, it mentions that James was Jesus’ brother. The most natural conclusion of these passages is to interpret that Jesus had actual blood siblings. There is no Biblical reason to believe that these siblings are not the actual children of Mary and Joseph. They were obviously born after Jesus, because Jesus was born of a virgin (Isa 7:14; Luke 1:26-38).

Jesus had no siblings. The account that everyone uses to point out brothers and sisters is false. When the bible talks of "Is this not Jesus of Nazerath, son of Joseph. Are not his brothers and sisters among us" they are talking about either cousins or people from his home town. There is also speculation that Jesus had older half-siblings from Joseph's first marriage (though I have seen no evidence that Mary was his second wife)
For us, the term “brother” means a male relative sharing identical parents with the person who calls him “brother.” The term, however, in some societies can include other male relatives, even cousins.
Jesus uses “brother” in an even wider sense in Mark 3:35 (“For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother”), Matthew 25:40, Luke 22:32 and John 20:17.

Jesus having siblings is the result of translation errors.
English speaking Protestants believe that Jesus had siblings. Catholics and most non-English speaking Christians do not.
In the King James Version of the Bible, James is referred to as the brother of Jesus. However, the Greek word used in the original does not mean "Brother" -- it means "Close Relative."
Elsewhere in the KJV, it says that Mary and Joseph had no sexual relations until Jesus was born. This would seem imply that they had sex after his birth. Again, the original Greek is different. In the Greek, it makes it clear that there were no sexual relations before the birth of Jesus, but there is no implication of sex afterwards.
English speaking Catholics did not use the King James Version, so would not have been tricked by the poor translation. However, Catholics have another reason for believing that Mary and Joseph had no relations after the birth of Jesus. In the Catholic Bible, Mary talks about having taken a vow to remain a virgin. Catholics believe that the mother of Jesus would never have broken a vow to God, so must have remained a virgin after the birth of Jesus.
This passage is not in the Protestant Bible -- because it is in one of the Books that Martin Luther edited from the Bible in the 1500s.

There was alot of talk a few years ago about his brother James body being found the coffin said James brother of Jesus. No one knows for sure if in deed this is the brother of James but is is assumed that Mary and Joseph went on to have many children after Jesus was born.

James became a diciple and later wrote the book of James.
Jesus had half brothers and sisters by the way.
Some of his brothers and sisters did not accept Jesus as the Christ
Mar 6:3-6 This is the builder, the son of Mary, and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon, isn't it? His sisters are here with us, aren't they?" And they were offended by him.
Jesus was telling them, "A prophet is without honor only in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his own home."
He couldn't perform a miracle there except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.
He was utterly amazed at their unbelief. Then he went around to the villages and continued teaching.

James actually became high priest of the temple. He died during a riot when he was pushed from the top of the temple. We really don't know much about Jesus' other siblings.

Jesus "brothers" weren't really His brothers; they were most likely cousins.
The Bible is clear that Mary had no children other than Jesus.
For instance, when the angel Gabriel told Mary, an engaged woman, that she would conceive and bear a son, she asked him "how can this be?"
A soon-to-be-married woman would normally have no reason to ask such a question -- she would assume that this pregnancy would occur shortly after her upcoming marriage.
But Mary did ask how the pregnancy would happen -- which makes no sense unless she had taken a lifelong vow of virginity.
Women who took such vows back then often married much older men who were typically widowers -- and there's non-Scriptural evidence which tells us that Joseph fit that category.

The bible put its a readers on a need to know basis. They tld you what you needed to know. Jesusu brothers were insignificant and probably served no purpose in his ministry or effected his purpose while here on earth. So they were only mentioned breifly.
