Yes, and more. By crash dieting (using the definition of extreme caloric restrition) you have convinced your body that it needs to store any energy it consumes rather than use it to power the body. In other words, you have told it to get fat.
That is why eating 6 small meals a day is the best for losing weight. As an example, if you are a normal healthy adult female you need about 1200 cals a day on average to power your body. So eat 6 small meals of 200 cals each (good cals, NOT candy bars!) with protien, dairy, fruits and nuts being your focus and you will lose weight (providing you burn 1200 cals!) because your body will see that you have enough food to survive and it does not need to store the energy rather than conserve it.

Usually the weight you lose comes back with some more to keep it company. Eating healthy is one thing, but keeping active is another.

you won't be able to help her by way of fact there is not any miracle therapy for obesity. She needs to exercising, and she or he needs to consume a fit, balanced foodstuff regimen and save her energy to a minimum. There in simple terms isn't any thank you to be healthful without those 2 aspects. And any weight-loss attempt that would not incorporate eating a balanced foodstuff regimen and exercising would not finally end up working in the long-term besides... you lose slightly, end and income all of it returned plus extra suitable, jointly as screwing up the metabolism. So it particularly is great you prefer to help your cousin, even with the indisputable fact that it would not appear as if she is able to help herself. If she is ever keen to suck it up and do what's suited for wellbeing, she'll be great.

Yes, you normally gain it ALL back. Plus MORE. So, you'll end up weighing more than when you started. It's never a good idea to crsh diet, unless it's for a Ball or something--something for one night. But, if you want to shed those pounds foreer, you should loose no more than 2 pounds a week (yes, extreamely slow--but it adds up in the end!)
