glittering gold on a chicken what was it ?

parked up one night at the top of newmarket town in suffolk.
I had an american chicken dish it was beutiful, it was named after an american state beut cant remember which, it was not kentucky though.The sauce was realy golden it looked great and tasted great anyone knoe what it is called

Goldschlager is a Schnapps Liqueur. Sounds to me like someone basted with it. Interesting!

Could have been named after the "Golden State" California.
