My husband gets really annoyed when I say that to him. Thinks i'm a bit of a bleeding heart do-gooder. well I supose I am, but i'd rather be that than an ignorant, intollerant and narrow minded.
Both your answer and stars's are great, Of course there are idiots and selfish people out there, but surely it's better to think of people as good by default and not bad, after all we have absolutely no way of knowing why someone cuts you up or what there intentions were. Would certainly cut down on road rage.

The best thing to do is to take a deep breath, and just remember, that person could be rushing to the ER with or for a loved one, and aren't you grateful you aren't them? Just because they cut you off doesn't mean you are less important than they are (which seems to be the source of most drivers anger at this rather than the danger a person put them in) just that they have something going on that is SO important to them they cannot think of others.

It's not a matter of bringing you down today. If you know someone cut you off in traffic deliberately, it would be your duty to note the license plate number and report that person to the authorities to possibly prevent an accident and/or injury to other drivers. Yes, God wants us to love and not hate, but He also wants us to use our brains in a logical manner. He has given us the tools, but it is up to us how to use them.
