So, if I understand it correctly, you must be "saved" or ask for forgiveness in order to get the 'heaven.'
My ancestors (Native Americans from the Quinault tribe in Wa), did NOT have access to the Bible. Does this mean they are in 'hell'?

Oneundergod: WOW!!!! I can't believe you mentioned something about the feather. . . I know about the feathers- when my mom's feather(s) fall down, usually someone gets very ill or dies shortly after. Also, the white owl is the messenger of death. The time she's seen white owls (in the wild), a relative has become gravely ill or dies! Thank you!

every one has an after life ,
when qwe die our spirit goes to the happy hunting ground,
other names for it are heaven and hell,
basiclly as we lived here ,now ,is how we live there then,
evil attracts to its own level of hell and good rises into the light,
there are all sorts of heavens ,christians have thier own ,buddists we all have our own if you could see with special sight you would see even the villages of your ancester would yet be there ,in differing levels of being but all in the same space and time ,some may have left ,the village and wandered into iother heavens and hells and found thier loves met
evil is as evil loves to do ,love of good has its own spiritual after being ,in the spirit they yet hunt the wild buffol ,livein the wigwam/tepi cave wherever they choose to live,
most wouldnt be in the heavens of the invading christians though thier spirit if at the same level of good or badnes can visit even live there ,but it is restricted to the level of good or bad they earned
one deserving og good, loving to do good just cant go to hell
one loving evil just cant stay in heaven ,any evil they try to do instantly returns them to thier true home heavenly hell
if they didnt hear of the bible thats ok ,they know who you are and you need but to think/sing them up and they are there ,they know your feeling ,and have no fear will contact you in due time
to think a thing in heaven or hell is to bring you there
in the proper time you just need to ask and all will be given, learn the lessons and learnings of this life ,they wait as they allways have to bring you to your home and family ,all you need ask at the proper time is to come ,and they will come
fear not they arnt going away .
i suspect a gift such as a feather or sign will be given to you very shortly ,from them to confirm it ,birds are a comman comunicator ,animal spirits ,look for your tribes animal messanger., your question is a prayer they must now ,you have asked ,respond to.

They are in the common grave of mankind as all who died are, awaiting the resurection mentioned in the Bible.Hell or eternal torment is something fabricated by false religion to scare people. There is no such thing. The Book of Ecclesiastes 9:5 says" For the living are conscious that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten" verse 10 also says about "hell2 or Sheol as it is rightfully called " ...for there is no work or devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to which you are going".
Sheol = commongrave of mankind.
The bible only speaks off a little number going to heaven (144000) in the book of Revelation , but mentions a number noone can count that will have the right to live forever in paradise here on earth as was originally planned from the start of mankind creation. Revelation 21:4 says " And I will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away". Here it speaks about paradise that can become a reality for all. You decide for yourself with your free will given to you by God.

What does the bible have to do with the first part of your question/ understanding. Its true a person must see their faults and errored ways in order to get to heaven. There's mroe to it actually, to be in teh spiritula world one must love God with all thier mind and heart and this can be done when a person has humility and is willing to take shelter in God. This is the basis of all religion. One doesn't have to read the bible to know this. Its in the Quran and also in the Bhagavad Gita. The native Indian peopel probably had / have parts fo thier culture based on what is often called Vedic wisdom. It's knowledge of the material and spiritual worlds. Within the vast body of Vedic knowledge there is info about available for anyohne who wants. People find what they are looking for, doesnt matter what resources happen to be available at that time or place.

Hi, Layla. Actually, I don't know. I would like to think that if they had no access to stories about Jesus, that God would have mercy on them. It isn't their fault.
How can a person be judged for not believing in something they knew nothing about?
I know that Native American people were mostly good, and quite spiritual. Many of their legends are similar to those that were in the Bible (not necessarily the Quinault tribe, but others)...
So as I said, I don't know. Only God knows.

The "historic Christians" or pre- Christians have been in reality gnostics that trusted the Karast or Christ spirit interior themselves to bare the truths of the single actual God. As above so under. They formed plenty of their recommendations in accordance with historic image voltaic theology. The Christian holidays of Christmas and Easter have been in reality historic pre-Christians holidays based on the Solstice. The Jewish trip of Passover in reality has it particularly is roots in the classic Egyptian trip of an identical call "Passover". This being whilst the solar handed returned over the equator. To further learn this, i might advise the Writings of Moustaffa Gadalla, Ahmed Osman and the wager Emmet Ministry which will nicely be got here upon on line.

Well if they did not have access to a Bible or knowledge of Christ, why would they be condemned for not following Christ? Doesn't make sense to me.
Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains." - John 9:41
God doesn't condemn people, I believe, who never had a chance to follow him. So I hope your ancestors are in heaven, but God is a sovereign judge.

Christians can be so arrogant. hey fail to realize there were alot of religions b4 Christianity. These cultures who practiced these religions had their own peace and own systems of afterlife and spirits. Then this idea of Christ being the ONLY God gets preached to and Forced on most people and the arrogant Christians think they saved these cultures. Its a mess.

Not at all.
Hell and most other christian/religious stories are simply myths perpetrated to control the masses.
