Yes God could have blinked everything instantly in existance. He simply chose to do it the way He did for reasons I am sure my little brain can't understand.

Everything God does has a wisdom and meaning behind it.
The last message mentions six days yes but some scholars have concluded it meant six phases.
As the word 'day' might reflect the lengh of a day in Gods stand. Not in ours.
Look at it from this point of view...if everything was created in a second..would humans be able to study the origins of the universe? We wouldnt be able to find the 'phases' unless the entire universe was built on that.
There are signs for those who want to learn.
Peace

The Bible does not say how long it took God to create the earth. At Gen. 1:2, you will notice that the earth was already in existence BEFORE the first creative day started. The "days" were vast time period that Jehovah used to prepare the earth for human habitation. Before the first "day" started, the earth could have been in existence for millions of years.

Takes a while to stick all those fossils in amongst the layers of rock.
Also fine tuning those waterfalls must have been difficult.
As for the animals, well, he had to hurry near the end, so the bits he had left, he just threw together at the last minute and made the Platypus.
Just my opinion, though.

Creation stories are only myths to help explain how the world came into being. Obviously, the six days are an invention of the human mind, not an actual description of how God could create something. For that, I would refer you to the Big Bang theory in science.

God is not bound by time. He probably spent a few minutes on the first day, zoomed ahead to the second day where he spent another couple minutes and so on, but took six days to do it to fulfill a representation of the law as was given to Moses.

ever had a fish tank?
you put the bag in the water to let the water temps equalize.
pure physics, sir.
We've been working for over a century and we can't get cars to last 300,000. God made a universe and it's run like a clock for millions of years.
See how easy answers are when you don't think so hard?
