Eurpoean honeymoon?

They say Paris is the most romantic city in Europe, but I am not so sure. Too many cars, too many French.........
Rome? Really good weather in July & August - I was there last year. But romance? Hmmmm, not so sure either.

Wife and I had the best, romantic and relaxing holiday ever - where? Capri.
And if it is a honeymoon, then go to the Hotel Caesar Augustus. It has the best views, the hotel is on the top of a cliff overlooking the bay of Naples. The pool is brilliant, the staff are so helpful and friendly and if they know it is your honeymoon - they will spoil you rotten. They even have double sun-loungers for the 2 of you to relax in the sun. It is perfect.

So my advice is hotel Caesar Augustus, Capri.

Good luck with the wedding. And the honeymoon too, of course!

I know you want Europe, but might I suggest a beautiful, little colonial town a few hours bus ride from Rio de Janeiro called Paraty? (By car, 2 hours?) Brazil is quite cheap if you have pounds sterling, and this might offset the expense of the flight. The town has every mod.con. you could wish for, but a charm few places have and, by my own experience, a lot of romance, particularly if you enjoy boat trips to tropical islands (365 of them!).In July/August, it would be winter, so not too hot, but warm enough for living in shorts and T-shirts.

I think the best place for honeymoon, in Europe, not-too-hot is Istanbul. The historic Byzantine/Ottoman city, picturesque view of Bosporus strait, the Golden horn canal.
It is a city having one part in Europe and other part in Asia...divided by a strait and connected by world's 5th and 6th largest hanging bridges. And u don't need to show ur passport to move from Europe to Asia through those bridges.
Beautiful black sea, mediterranean sea, blue skies and sea, hilly city with both old and new type of buildings. World's 2nd largest Cathedral(Hagia Sophia), 2nd largest mosque(Sultanahmet), and lots of magnificent historical Byzantine churches, Ottoman mosques, palaces, museams, world's largest covered shopping mall(Grand bazaar) though of 450years old, beautiful parks, beaches and harbors.
Ur honymoon will be a great one to be remembered there.

Around that time Portugal is lovely, not busy in the more rural areas, but still plenty to do. Otherwise Southern France, along the coast, competive prices, plus the sun setting on the beach. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

Depends what you like doing...except being with your loved one. Avoid the southern part (S France, Italy, Spain etc: too hot in during that period). I would suggest (south) Tirolia or Switzerland.
Of course, many (incl. my wife) will suggest Paris is THE MOST romantic place on earth...HOWEVER July and August is not ideal, a tourist trap, too expensive and too sticky climate...May or Sept is better...all the best.

Actually New Zealand is just wonderful! Also a small village in rural Scotland or Ireland along the coast would be out of this world. Good luck and happy wedding.

I suggest Sharm Elsheikh, Marsa Matrouh, or Hurgada.

Italy would be lovely. Try southern italy for sorrento and the amalfi coast, or northern italy for the lakes.
