First of all illegal immigration is wrong, IT is the law, I have no animosity towards mexicans, I understand they come across the border to better their lives and take care of their families. The mexican goverment is to blame and the reason we havent done anything is because many succesful white people are making money off the immigrants in texas. My only problem is that I have heard reports of immigrants in california taking down the american flag and putting up the mexican flag and believe since they are illegal they don't have to abide by our laws. Another thing that needs to be understood is we as americans and mainly texans have to pay taxes for the millions of illegal immigrants. They drive vehicles with no insurance and they recieve government welfare using fake identification not only medical. My point is, I could care less who is in america as long as they respect the country and pay taxes like every other american.

Expecting people to respect the law is not racist. I agree with your position, but I do care who is in the country. Respecting the law begins with not entering the country illegally. Have no fear though Democrats are going to give them amnesty and then they will all be legal. The new incoming head of the Homeland Security Committee has stated that his first goal will be to review the border fence with an eye towards scrapping the whole project. I am also sure that now that Democrats control The House, The Senate's first order of business will be to pass the Kennedy/McCain immigration bill, which will not only legalize all that are hear already, but will also allow no less than 400000 new immigrants into the country per year. The major stumbling block to passage has been that the House would not accept it and that doesn't appear to be a problem anymore.

Niko you are wrong and if I am not mistaken Texas was bought not stolen from Mexico. Illegal immigration cost tax dollars and the last estimate I saw was 90 billion for the US as a whole and 19 Billion for Ca. alone. This is a yearly cost and it is way too high. Unlike the asker of this question I do not blame the Mexican gov as money sent to Mexico by their illegals working in the US exceeds the money from their oil production. It is the fault of the US government for not taken this issue serious. There has been a large increase in OTM's since 9/11 but this does not seam to bother all the illegal supporters and I can not understand that.

I agree with you 1000%.
How can anyone disagree with all problems illegals bring into this country?? Hurting US economy; taking away jobs from Americans; not paying taxes; driving up health care costs for Americans; using money that schools, hospitals, police departments (to name a few) could use on other important resources to teach their employees Spanish because illegals don't speak English; i could go on and on.

Taking down the American flag to put up a Mexican flag is just wrong. Just as it is wrong to have TV and radio stations entirely in Spanish. What about the other immigrants who are in the US?? We don't have TV or radio stations in German or Italian or French. When you call a business or bank or any other automated system you don't get a prompt "press 3 for German, press 4 for Italian" Are Latinos better than other immigrants who came to this country??? Not at all!
No one is blaming anyone for coming into the US to get a better life. As long as they do it through the right way, and learn to speak English then everyone will be happy!

Not really racist, but it's pretty confused.

You accept that there will be free government benefits, and seem surprised when people want to come here to get them. There are laws that create incentives to come here legally or illegally, but no enforcement of laws against coming illegally.

You seem to think that only illegals drive without insurance. I can assure you this is not the case. The laws requiring insurance are and always have been foolish. They require an irresponsible person to do something responsible, to spend money to protect total strangers. You know that not everyone does. Why don't you behave rationally and recognize that the laws require THEM to cover YOUR RISK, and get your own insurance? Out of 300 million people in the US, all it takes is you getting hit by the only one that broke the law by not being insured to make you wish you'd been responsible for yourself.

You also seem to think that the illegals are only in states that border on Mexico. I assure you that isn't true, either.

Think about the problem more carefully. If someone illegal is getting government welfare, would you be happier about it if they were legal? Would it make everything alright just to declare them legal? Identify the correct problem. Yes, I realize you're paying a lot of taxes that goes to welfare for illegals. You're paying a lot that goes to legals and natives, too.

You just can't blame the illegals for the fact that a lot of our laws were designed by idiots, to sign into law what they think ought to be, but never will be.

Too bad that everyone trying to come to our country legally has to pay such a high price. Every hard working tax paying American is supporting Illegals and their babies they come here and have. They are like a cancer in our country, eating at the very fiber of our society, taking our children's education away. I wonder if the ones in Washington have been in a walmart on the first of the month to see all of these illegals buying food with our tax monies!
Call your Congressman and Senators, tell them no amnesty and fine the companies that hire these illegals.
They are making millions by hiring them and then charging full price to Americans!
We have to pay their prices, then support the illegals by paying taxes!
CEOs are retiring with hugh pensions, where do you think this is coming from?
Take a look at the stores you shop at and see if the signage is in spanish also.
They are catering to illegals at your expense!
Your insurance is so high because of the illegals that drive without it, just think about that the next time you pay for any thing and by the way....if you dont call your reps....start learning spanish!!!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA, and remember the country we used to have!

That is not racist. It is being honest. My spouse and I have spent a ton of money on immigration. Why should these people get a break because they have been able to hide from the authorities and live here ILLEGALLY???

Forget what race they are, where they are from, or why they come here. The bottom line is these people are ILLEGAL. They are breaking the laws of the land.

If the people of Canada began to come down across the border, do you think they would be given amnesty? NO!! So why treat the people from our southern borders any different?!?!

Yes, your view of illegal immigration is racistly slanted against Caucasian Americans. You assume many things to be true that simply are not exclusive to "white people."

I agree with you to a point; however, law enforcement at both sides of the problem is the only fair way to support the existing statute.

Not all, nor or are most of the employers "white." Many, if not most are farmers, sweat shop owners and even former aliens themselves operating small businesses that employ Mexicans that they themselves know or are acquainted with from Mexico. (i.e., landscapers, roofers, concrete, and construction workers, sweat shop owners, etc.)

Being "white," myself, I'd really appreciate it if you would stop always blaming "whitey " for all of the world's problems! Thanks!

Good point, as a matter of fact "IT'S RIGHT ON THE MONEY" 40% of mexico is living here illegally, company's make a lot of $ on Illegal help, these company's (Liberals), donate large amts. of $ to both presidential party's, this is why it is not brought up in political debates, we should bring it up at every chance we get, we cannot support 40% of mexico, it will destroy our economy, we are not the meal ticket for mexicans, nor is the United States a dumping ground for the 3rd world. If this continues, the U.S. will be a third world country, which is what I think is going to happen, does mexico care, I think "NOT" !

NO. Wanting the laws of our country to be obeyed is in no way racist.
If the truth were to be told, probably two in 10 of the illegals coming into our country really want to Americans.
The rest know if they can get here and get married and have a kid. They will be supported for the rest of their lives.
If they are so hard working. Why is it that growers in Mexico have to go out side the country to get workers to harvest their crops. Stating the Mexican workers are lazy, not dependable and won't work hard.
Kind of blows their reason for coming here Huh?

Well...I believe most issues regarding illegal immigration are about illegal immigration and have nothing to do with racism. As far as your point of view goes, I can't say I agree with everything you think but I can say I am not in favor of illegal immigration.
