What would you do if a couple of well meaning Christians knocked on your door to witness and had the New Testament for you and asked you if you wanted to be saved. I mean would you talk to them and get saved or would you turn down the word of God?

I'd tell them that I was already saved, and invite them in for a prayer to help them achieve their goal.

I would probably turn down the well meaning Christians knocking on my door. This doesn't mean I am turning down the word of God. It's just that I prefer making my own decision when to have a heart to heart conversation with God. However well meaning those Christians are, I disagree that they should go out and beg for followers. There are much better ways to bring people closer to religion than going out and knocking on people's doors.

Are you talking about current times, or when the Apostles and early Christians went around from door telling fellow Israelites that their religion was no longer valid and there was something new?

What would you have done, if you were an Israeli, opening your door to a fellow Israeli, saying that you needed to be saved through Christ?

Remember, like today's Christians, the Israelis didn't believed the Messiah had come because he didn't immediately bring about Armageddon. Christians believe the same thing will happen with his second coming, and like the ancient Jews, ignore the prophesies that showed he had come.

It would depend on how much time I had for them. If I was not busy I would let them tell me their story and I might even accept Jesus into my heart, He would need to be able to get along with all the other little gods in there but I have a big heart so there is enough room for them all. I would not likely be rude to the poor misguided missionaries and if I could I would let them think that they had succeeded just to make them feel better. It would give them a boost and so long as it cost nothing why not, I know how hard door to door sales can be on people.

I will thankfully never have to face this problem as I have in recent years taken to never answering the doorbell or a knock on the door unless I am expecting someone I know who has previously informed me of the approximate time of their arrival at my door. But if by some error I did open the door, I would politely say thank you but no thank you.

If you're a born again Christian, love my Lord, you don't need to be saved again. Invite them in and have fellowship together, tell them you are already a Christian, and if you already have a Bible, tell them to keep the New Testament to give to a new convert or somebody they witness to.
Glad you're a Christian. Peace

It is rude for people to come without an appointment and JWs are not Christians because they do not accept the Divinity of Christ.I new a woman who was told by these morons 'that she had a devil in her'.She was so angry, oh boy!How can you tell if a person has a demon ?So I guess their religion is a lie.Don't you think influence is a lot better than persusasion?

There is an arrogance about the religions that believe you can only be "saved" by following their teachings. I believe any god worth worshipping would not cast millions of human beings into fire just because they got a wrong answer on their multiple choice quiz. I would ask them to please spend more time working for justice as their Messiah did and less time feeling they are part of some special elite.

This has happened several times. I thank them for their concern and explain that I am very happy with my religion. If they wanted to give me any literature I would again thank them and say that perhaps they should give it to someone who will read it. I am polite and friendly but firm. I would be as likely to denounce my deities as they would be to denounce theirs. Luckily, all of the door-to-door religious people that have stopped by have been very nice and respectful and I return the same courtesy.

There simply is nothing from which to be saved. it is not your Father's Will that you be even theoretically endangered by anything. But you do have the power to imagine such extremities, as you remain eternally perfect, whole, and complete, in your Father's arms, dreaming of foolish things. Your Father knows nothing exists but Himself, and all He created.

One can only be saved when they are ready to receive their savior, no matter what religion it is.If you're not heart isn't in it or it in your heart, it wont' make difference who knocks on your door.Furthermore, I think we all serve the same GOD, we just have different names for him under different cultures and beliefs.
