You want to loose 5lbs and you want it to stay off! That's a relatively safe weight loss!

Maybe doing a cleanse is the best way to go! They are loads of cleanses out there so have a look and find one that is best for you! Fruit is always a great way to cleanse!!!

Look at what you currently eat - keep a diary for a few days of everything that goes into your mouth! What do you notice and what can you change!

Throw in a little bit if movement - dance, swim, go to the gym do whatever you enjoy! You have to teach yourself to love working out! Get your mind to think you won't be happy if you don't work out!

Best of luck

The best way is to identify an issue that has been bothering you and continue to ponder over it, considering all the angles to identify ways of providing a solution. Do this consistently for a period of three days and at the end of each day, measure ur weight. It always works.

Don't diet and don't spend any money: just change your eating habits. Sugar and prepackaged foods are the greatest problem for most people. Eat wholemeal bread and, if possible, wholemeal pasta and brown rice (takes getting used to, it has a stronger, nutty flavour, but you will like it in the end!). Have at least two litres of water a day, and a glass of water before each meal. Do not allow yourself to get hungry. Don't eat ANY sugar for about 6 weeks and avoid very sweet foods such as dried fruit and fruit juices duing this time as well. You will have cravings, because your body is used to it. Get rid of everything in your store cupboard that contains refined sugar, don't rely on will power, none of us have it all the time. Get rid of anything else you know you eat too much of, such as crisps. Have you got kids that complain? You are giving them the gift of health. Let them complain, they will get over it. There are good, healthy alternatives. You can get 100% fruit jams for example, they are really sweet. You can use these to sweeten natural yochurt as well. Refined sugar is highly addictive and causes all sorts of health problems. Make sure you eat enough unprocessed fat, so you don't get hungry. This is the problem with dieting: you starve yourself for a couple of days, on disgusting vegetable juices and detox pills that cost you a fortune and then you stuff yourself with piles of chocolate to make up for it, ending up twice as fat and unhappy. Unprocessed fat in for example a chicken skin is not bad, just like fruitsugar in an apple is not bad, you just shouldn't have too much of it. Get rid of processed foods containing lots of salt, sugar and additives. There are time saving alternatives. Cook a huge pasta sauce on Sunday, with fresh tomatoes, onions, grated zuchini and other vegetables and freeze it in portions, or, if you can afford it, visit a healthfood store and check out their organic sauces. Get cooking books like the Women's Weekly One Minute Meals.
Do exercise. I know you have heard this a hundred times, but you need it. You don't have to go to a gym, or run, you can just have a lovely walk, bounce on an exercise ball while you watch your favorite program on the telly, or even just tense and flex your muscles on a regular basis. ANYTHING is better than nothing.
Lastly, when you feel down, spoil yourself. If you can afford it, have a massage. So mush nicer than a pot of diet pills. And if you have bad cravings, get some sweet essential oils, such as vanilla, put a few drops on a tissue and sniff it.
I have lost nine kg after having my daughter. I never dieted, just ate sensibly. I rarely eat sugar now, after being a self-confessed sugar / choc addict for years. After four weeks of cravings I rarely miss it and I feel a million times better.
