im british born citizian living in egypt. due to personel circumstances i want to return to the UK. i have dual nationality and am told i cannot leave untill im the legal age of 21.

i am a 20 yr old british born citizian. due to personel circumstances i want to return to the uk, all my legal documants have been taken away from me by my egyptian father. i heard the legal age to leave without permission from ur gaurdian is 21. although in efor british citizians is 18.
i want to leave...pls help

Go to the Embassy and tell them. They'll be able to give you advice, but because you have dual nationality they won't be able to help you break Egyptian law. The only way they can get involved and help you is for you to renounce your Egyptian nationality.

That doesnt make any sense.

As long as you're not a minor child under the care of a parent or guardian you are allowed to travel freely if you can afford it. If you are underage, you will need permission from a parent/guardian to travel internationally. Is 21 the legal age in Egypt? That sounds a bit old. Maybe 18???

unfortunatly the legal age is 21 thats right
i hate to tell u that u cant do anything without ur father's permission.
if u fail to convince ur father to approve, what about ur mom? is she British? if so, she is considered a guardian too, she can take u there.
but my advice to u, try to talk to ur father, u cant live in a place u dont feel comfortable in, if he doesnt approve, try to bear for this year, and u can do whatever u want after that.
