For our wedding favors we got customized fortune cookies. (there's web sites online where you can order them, just google it) On the slip inside the cookie we had our names on the top line, a quote about love on the middle line, and on the bottom line it said "lucky numbers" and we put the date of our wedding so it was like 07.27.06 you can have the cookies in little take out containers or wrap them up w/ that clear cloth stuff w/purple ribbon or just throw them in a bowl if they're individually wrapped. Just an idea! Another thing we did was next to the guest book we had a signature frame with an engagement picture in it. We had every guest sign it, after the wedding we put our wedding picture in it and it's fun to look at and remember all the people who were there!

If your wedding is in a church, chances are there won't be much lee-way for anything besides what usually happens during a ceremony. As lideshow is a great thing to have at the reception though...during the cocktail hour.
For favors you can wrap small purple candles in bags and put them at each place setting. Soap is another fun/different favor that can be easily wrapped in bags. Check out http://www.southernsoapstore.com/ (tell them you were recommended by Eleganza Intima) and take a look at what they have. Handmade soaps and favors...they also have kits!!

Lots of great ideas with a mind toward the unique and cost awareness. Purple sounds lovely!
I helped plan my friend's wedding in August. For small accent pieces, we used square glass votive candle holders. We filled them with green peas (frozen ) and put a single gebora daisy in the middle with a little greenery. Very different, and went well with the purple.

Sounds wonderful!!!!! Youre honey moon bed should be pre-prepared with purple flowers all over it, including the walk path that leads to it. Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality.Deep or bright purples suggest riches while lighter purples are more romantic and delicate. You cant overdo it! Use redder purples for a warmer color scheme or the bluer purples to cool down.
A deep eggplant purple with neutral tans or beige is an earthy, conservative color combination with a touch of the mystery that purple provides. Green and purple can be a striking combination in deep or bright jewel tones or use lighter shades for a cheerful, springlike feel. Pink and purple has feminine appeal. Good luck!!!!

You want to do this during the Ceremony?
I guess if that's what you want, but the officiant might charge you extra if they are their over a certain amount of time.
