Im just looking for some honest answers other than the typical "because the bible says so", or the ever popular "Marriage is a special bond between a man and a women." Please give me your opinions and your personal reasons for being homophobic. If you arnt, dont bother to answer my question. This is for the haters only, targeting the christian haters mostly. Thanks.

And as I expected, you people are completely brainwashed to the point that you have no persoan opinions of anything but what your silly bible tells you. How bout you reach into your sad little hearts and find a good reason to be a homophobic prickk? It isnt because God wants you to be that way, its because you are afraid. I will pray for all of you that YOU dont go to hell for your hatred and intolerance.

And, Danish, its completely rediculous to me that you think because of what others do in there personal, intimate lives makes them less perfect. God created us all to love and to be loved, never did god specify conditions on that love.

Tony, First of all, I am a Registered Nurse and am very aware of the HIV/AIDS population, statistics and what groups have higher rates. At this time, the highest group of people spreading aids and to have aids are STRIAGHT BLACK WOMEN. So, I would suggest next time you decide to post bullshit that you know nothing about, you research it a bit. Homosexuals are not, and have not been the highest group with AIDS since the early 90's.

To the young man who is trying to explain his hate, really? Clearly hate is forbidden in the Ten Commandments. So why do you think its ok to hate anything? An act, a person, whatever? Hipocrit at its finist. And further more, deeply rooted in sin? R u serious? Last time I checked, I have a very fufilling, loving relationship with my partner. We do not hurt anyone else. I am very involved in my spiritual life,(Jewish). We both have good jobs, good friends, and good things that come to us all the time. I find it hard to believe that if my life was so "deeply rooted in sin" as you put it, it would be so good.

Why do you think Christians hate gay ppl? Even if they were not Christians they would be against homosexual marriage. It has to do with moral attitudes too. We have friends that are gay and Christians themselves and we love them. Islam too condemns homosexuality rigorously so don't just pick on Christians.
If you don't want your question answered in the Christian view, so why do you address them?

Dear Ariel,
I am not a hater but a lover. I am a born-again Christian and I try to live my life so that my heavenly Father will receive the glory and honor that is due Him. He has made it very clear to me that He does not want anybody to be eternally separated from Him. He loved me enough to pursue me until I found Him. That may sound pretty ridiculous to non-believers and it did seem that way to me in the past, but not any more.
Sin separates us from the awesome uncreated Creator of the universe. But He provided the way for us to be restored to a right Relationship. He is not going to just wave a "magic wand" and say "Okay everybody I forgive you."
Sin is serious and because of it Jesus, who was sinless, died a horrific death for all sinners who accept Him as LORD and Savior.
I used to be a member of NOW and NARAL and thought that if people would just do this and just do that then there would be no more problems in the world. However I eventually learned that for every wrong that people fix, they end up creating another 10 wrongs. It becomes a very vicious downward cycle.
Homosexuality is getting a lot of press these days but EVERY single sin separates us but it is just one of the things that separate us from God. Adultery, murder, child-abuse, pride, not helping the needy, and stealing are every bit as bad.

They use it as a scapegoat. They refuse to try to learn about it. TO see where homosexual people come from. That most dont choose to be gay they are born that way. That HOmosexuals have got to be strong and go through so much abuse in life. IN stead of having that Christian Love and reaching out, they instead condemn and show their true Satanic Colors. I have faith in god and I love my fellow man with all their differences. I leave it in gods hands to Hate, rebuke or deny anyone anything. No matter what the bible says, JESUS Taught Love and Acceptance. SO this is what I follow.

I’d just like to point out one very valuable point... from 1 Corinthians 6: 9, 10 where it talks about who will not inherit God’s Kingdom…the "nor effeminate" part. Effeminate is derived from the Latin word Effeminatus, from past participle of Effeminare which is to make Effeminate- having feminine qualities: untypical of a man: not manly in appearance. Obviously the connotation of this is meaning a man ACTING feminine, and taking on a feminine form. Also, the definition means to be MARKED by an unbecoming delicacy or over-refinement with regard to femininity. We all know that the homosexuals, put themselves on altars when it comes to broadcasting their effeminate qualities. The same goes for the Lesbians that take on masculine traits, and uniform themselves in masculine attire and conduct. Clearly these ones MARK themselves with these un-natural differences in the name of pride. So that is why the bible clearly condemns such practices, and in other translations has rendered "nor men kept for unnatural purposes". These ones cannot rightfully in the name of God call themselves his Christians.
Homosexuals ( I am not using that term in a derogatory sense, but just grouping together the like as a class in separation from those who are not) continue to openly expose themselves in their various manners, deliberately ignoring what God clearly says. Making excuses, taking what they want from the bible, and basing their belief system on that. The problem with the churches is that they have now accepted this condemned practice, and even allowed the marrying of such ones, and people are accepting of this only because it tickles their ears. Society's morals have taken a nose dive, which is a sad state of affairs because as Society’s morals weaken, so too more and more other's minds are being made over by such "acceptance". The thing to remember is this is MAN'S acceptance. Not Gods.

alright the real answer is God is against sin because he is holy. God cannot stand sin. He made man a woman and expected them to be fruitful and multiply. Later in Leviticus he said man couldnt lay with another man as a woman (or an animal). Being with someone or something in this manner was disobedience to God (sin).
The only way to counter our sin is to accept Jesus into your heart. He bridges the gap between God and man. He wants us to accept Jesus and then Jesus will help us change our lifestyles of sin.
All real Christians are supposed to hate the sin but love the sinner. Unfortunately some dont. I'm a Christian and I have gay friends. I still love them, but I pray that one day they will come to know Jesus.

the Bible's against it as it is all sin.
Charles Finney stated, "God is not angry merely against the sin abstracted from the sinner, but against the sinner himself. Some persons have labored hard to set up this ridiculous and absurd abstraction, and would fain make it appear that God is angry at sin, yet not at the sinner. He hates the theft, but loves the thief. He abhors adultery, but is pleased with the adulterer. Now this is supreme nonsense. The sin has no moral character apart from the sinner. The act is nothing apart from the actor. The very thing that God hates and disapproves is not the mere event—the thing done in distinction from the doer; but it is the doer himself. It grieves and displeases Him that a rational moral agent, under His government, should array himself against his own God and Father, against all that is right and just in the universe. This is the thing that offends God. The sinner himself is the direct and the only object of his anger."
So the Bible shows. God is angry with the wicked [Psalm 7:11], not with the abstract sin. If the wicked turn not, God will whet His sword—He has bent His bow and made it ready—not to shoot at the sin, but the sinner—the wicked man who has done the abominable thing. This is the only doctrine of either the Bible or of common sense on this subject" (The Guilt of Sin).
The biblical way to witness to a homosexual is not to argue with him about his lifestyle but to use the Law to bring the knowledge of sin. This will show him that he is guilty of breaking God’s holy Law, and he is damned not because of, but despite his sexual preference. The Law was made for homosexuals, as well as other lawbreakers.

Sorry to say this but yes, the bible does condemn homosexuality. BUT, what troubles me is that there are other MORE important matters to adhere to in the bible, specifically the 10 commandments, people should start fearing God and obeying His commandments before worrying about "bashing" the gay's.
God Bless

1. I don't care if gay people get married, if god condemns them in the after life then so be it. Let them live how they want now
2. Why are you not allowing people to give those as reasons? They seem to be perfectly acceptable reasons.
3. Why are you targeting Christians? I've noticed more prejudice against Christian people than any other people on this site. It requires tolerance of all people (until you actually meet the person) to not be prejudice.
4. If they did allow gay marriage there should be different benefits, as gay people can not pro-create

Asking a Christian why they believe something and then saying ... dont base your answer on what the bible says.... is like asking a drunk... other than the empty bottles in the floorboard.... why were you swerving while you were driving?
Christians always answer questions of belief based on their understanding of the scripture..... especially when the topic that is asked about is so specifically covered in the scriptures.... but since you dont want to hear those answers ill leave it be.... you obviously already know what the scriptures say .... so then you feel if you disqualify the Bible then you will get an answer you want......
Sadly God wont see it the same way..... he tells us directly to compare our thoughts to his word.
God bless you will be keeping you in prayer that you do finally come to know the truth
