Why do hindus worship Gods made by themselves when the statues cant hush off a fly by themselves?

asked this question before and got this even more complicated answer! it said:
"lets take an example when someone needs to recognise you to meet you and they are given your photograph ,the photograph of yours cannot act like you but its ur recognition.
statues of hindu gods are only a force of reconginization of god and not god.

well then if u want to thank the person...u wont say thanks to the photograph wud u? u'd go to the person. then y not straight away ask from god rather than his "photograph"?

im myslef a hindu but this religion is too much confusing for me. my intellect just doest give way to follow it.
plz help me coz my family doesnt want me to convert to christanity or islam.
plz pm me on rnsm_4ever and help me solve this. help me!
i'll someday might die out of this confusion which does not let me concentrate on anything else.

You have the answer to your WHY.. in your description there.. Just as you say ..

""well then if u want to thank the person...u wont say thanks to the photograph wud u? u'd go to the person. then y not straight away ask from god rather than his "photograph"?""

If you believe there is a creator .. the God or Allah or Ellai or whatever names attributed to Him, then just don't fear accepting the truth at all. May Almighty help you and be with you always!

mr. i have so many questions for u , :
1.if u didn't convince by such a belief why u insist on following it??why don't u see something else till u find the truth??
i agree , why they worship a satues made by themselves???!!
that is not logical.and also (sorry!) the answer is also not logical.

2.what is ur family religion, if they prevent u from being muslim or christian?? why u care about them if u believe in the truth.???
u only will be judged for ur choices in the judgement day , no one will help u , so take care of that.

religion is to make the human life simple , and not to complicate his life, and (for me about islam it didn't leave anything concerns human life , or faith or anything, until it made it clear, to lead him for a better life)

lastly, i think they do that because they don't know that it isnot right.

(sorry if i hurt anyone).

peace.

The statues can help you visualize God. That may help in prayer. But they are not God. Since God is all knowing, he can read your thoughts. So if you want to talk to God, just think your messages to him.

I would visit some mosques and churches if I were you. The people there might have some advice.

Your question fits all religions except taoism, What is god anyway, just someone you ask something of and get refused.

I have prayed for you my brother.

May your spirit find some peace.

My only advice is dont ask for help from others, seek and you'll find. I hope that what you find is Jesus, who will bring you peace..

Do they not have the right to worship whom/whatever they choose. I would advise worrying about your own soul and let them tend to their own.

Blessed Be

I suggest you read the Vedas...or the Puranas and follow them first, instead of following what the common Hindu does.

You are always welcome in Islam :-)
