Are looking for truth but afraid to reach out to God? What are you waiting for?

I'm talking about the God of the Bible, the one who created the heavens and the earth. The one who sent his son Jesus to die for the sins of the world.
The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. The great "I Am" Jehovah God.

baby gurl, hit a nerve did I? I don't know you so I can't tell if you are messed up or not. when doing self examination of ones life, you can usually tell if you are messed up (addicted to drugs, alcohol, porn, etc.) And are trying to fill a void with such addictions. I haven't met someone with an addiction who has not admitted they were messed up.

From God's standpoint, literally *EVERYONE* is quote-unquote "messed up".

(Romans 3:22-23) For there is no distinction. 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

The Scriptures quite plainly explain that humans can disqualify themselves from enjoying a relationship with God; it is only the faithful COMPLETION of a life course that assures salvation.

(Zephaniah 2:3) Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. PROBABLY you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah's anger. [emphasis added]

(Amos 5:15) Hate what is bad, and love what is good, and give justice a place in the gate. It MAY be that Jehovah the God of armies will show favor [emphasis added]

(Matthew 7:13-14) Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.

(Matthew 24:13) But he that has endured TO THE END is the one that will be saved. [emphasis added]

(Philippians 2:12) Keep WORKING OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling [emphasis added]

(Hebrews 10:26-27) For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but there is a certain fearful expectation of judgment

(Hebrews 5:9) [Jesus] became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those OBEYING him [emphasis added]

(James 2:14,17) Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if a certain one says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it? ...17 Thus, too, faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself.

Who are you to judge others? Your bible tells you that your not allowed to judge. So while you feel the need to nag about others and judge them I suggest since you choose to carry on about religion that you go back and read your bible. Cause clearly you missed the section where it says not to judge others. You are the one who is truly messed up!

"I’m doing fine. I don’t need God."

Many people feel this way because of the modern gospel message. It says that Jesus will help their marriage, remove their drug problem, fill the emptiness in their heart, give them peace and joy, etc. In doing so, it restricts the gospel’s field of influence. If the message of the cross is for people who have bad marriages, are lonely, and have problems, those who are happy won’t see their need for the Savior.

In truth, the forgiveness of God in Jesus Christ if for people with bad marriages and people with good marriages. It is for the happy and the sad. It is for people with problems and for those without problems. It is for those who are miserable in their sins, and for those who are enjoying the pleasures of sin for a season. Those who think they are doing fine need to be confronted with a holy Law that they have violated a multitude of times. Then they will see themselves through the eyes of the Judge of the Universe and will flee to the Savior.
