Okay, so I'm trying to turn my life around. I kicked my narcissistic boyfriend to the curb, kicking my cigarettes to the curb and now I want to see if I can train for and complete a marathon. It would be for a good cause and something good for me. Does anybody have any source or suggestions as to where to go about finding one to join? I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. Thanks.

that's great, congrats! i know there is a SF marathon, because i was there a few weeks ago and i saw them training. i was at the Huge NIKE store and they had sign ups and runners were meeting there. i would go there and inquire, because i know they were recruiting people. good luck!

trainin directly for d marathon is not a very wise idea .... go slow
accordin 2 me u should try out swimmin 1st to get ur stamina up , hit d gym a cpl of times a week , then gradually start runnin 2k , 5k , 10k work your way up . It will take a long time but its a sure way
Best of Luck

I'd like to start running again and run a marathon. I've always wanted to and never have. I'm in NY so I don't know about California Marathons. good luck
