First thing you need to do is insist they do a subcutaneous TB test, why hasn't anyone done that? Then wait 72 hrs and if it turns red it is positive, which only means you have been exposed to TB but you can get TB in other parts of your body. Definitely see a specialist GOOD LUCK

Negative on x-ray and sputum does not mean you don't have TB. It means the doctor did not find signs of TB. TB only shows up on X-ray when it is serious, and Tb does not always show up on sputum , especially since many sputum collection are not done right. They could culture your sputum, but that takes forever, and there is genetic testing as well, but there might be issues with payment and FDA approval for that. The worst thing you can do though is self diagnose.

there are other diseases that cause cough, chills etc. Doc needs to keep exploring til the cause is found. Assume the skin test is also negative?

have you had a skin test yet? This may be needed to show TB
