I'd like to give milk to my 11 week old puppies, but i'm not sure if it's actually good for them. I don't want them to have diarrhea or any digestional problems. But if its good for them, then I will be happy to give it to them..thnx

Not a very good idea to give puppies any milk unless it's mama dogs milk. Ask your vet before giving the puppies anything other than the recommended food. What is fed to a puppy now helps to develop all of their fast growing bones and muscles, nerves and overall health and immunity.

milk is SOMETiMES good 4 puppies
this depends which type
the sort u get from Wall mart prbably wont be suitable
breast milk; from the mum dog that is, is the best
but Sanitarium's So Good is sed to be pretty good 2
if u give them sum dodgy milk, diarrhea wont be the least theill suffr from; theres heaps of bad things like spitting blood, stomach cramps, refusal to wake up or eat food, and yeh death.
So first go 2 a vet 4 their advice, or go to Pet Help on the net, and the site should tell u all u need
u can email them 2 if u have any problems

DO NOT FEED A PUPPY COW'S MILK! Puppies and kittens are lactose intolerant and you have to feed them formula created for them. You CAN give her goat's milk which all grocery stores sell. If your reason for not getting formula is lack of money, then either borrow some from a friend or relative, or ask them to buy you a quart or two of goat's milk. If you can't do that, then turn the pup over to a rescue group or a vet. The pup will DIE if it doesn't have formula or goat's milk to drink. She can be weaned if she's healthy in the next week or two, IF you know her exact date of birth and are SURE she's a month old. When pups are weaned, they stop drinking milk and drink water. AND... they can be fed kibble that is moistened to soften it if they don't have teeth yet. If you're not sure of this pup's age, you should be taking her to a vet for a visit and to ask how to best care for one so young. You didn't say if you bought the pup, or found the pup, but I gather mother is out of the picture. They have baby bottles for puppies, but if she's a month old, you can try to get her to lap up goats milk or formula from a dish or bowl, or try spoon feeding it to her. You need to take her to a vet so you can learn from someone who can SEE the pup how to best care for her. Nutrition is VERY important at this age. -!-

Well you can get this puppy milk powder...you just put it in some boiled water and make it cool down for a while.
You could maybe give it to them one time per day, along with the dog food.
But I would'nt do it no longer than maybe 2 weeks more.
they should be eating solid food by 3 months old.

Milk is not good for your puppies and can most certainly lead to diarrhea and other digestion discomforts.
A small amount of unsweetened, plain active yoghurt (1 tsp) can be given to each puppy daily and actually promotes intestinal flora / good digestion. However, if the puppy develops diarrhea from this, discontinue or decrease the frequency of giving it to them.

Dogs are lactose intolerant so you do not want to give them milk. Not all dogs are that way but most are and as a general rule you want to avoid giving it to them. Cheese is all right but only in moderation (like using it as bait) and plain yogurt (Mountain High is the verity I've always used) is good for them. The yogurt helps replenish good bacteria in their gut for if they have been vomiting or having other digestive problems.

No, cows milk will lead to diarrhea, digestion problems and most likely, vomiting.
If you want to give milk to your puppies, you can give them puppy milk which you can buy at practically any supermarket or any pet store.

humans are the only animals that will drink the milk from another animal, it's really not that great for us... but for dogs it's worse. they make synthetic dog's milk that you can buy at a chain petstore like petco or pestmart. although it sounds like they are old enough to be on a solid food diet? so maybe just stick to that or buy the kind of food that you can pour water in and make a "gravey" if you're worried about the hard food and them being small?
