You put that ring on her finger and you both said vows. Nothing can replace that moment. That ring should never be removed unless in extreme emergency . I had to have mine cut off last week as my finger had swollen. I feel devasated, I have to wait till the finger gets back to normal size, then the ring will be re-sized and an extra piece put in, it will then be put back on my finger by my husband. I had it on for 23 years. Buy her an anniversary ring instead.

Your wife is more than likely emotionally attached to her original wedding ring.
My fiance always jokes about getting me a bigger engagement ring, but I don't want him to because it wouldn't be the same.
You could buy her an eternity ring instead which is worn on the wedding ring finger also.
Otherwise I'm sure some diamond earings or something like that would go down a treat.

Not unless the original one was lost or stolen. Buy her an anniversary ring or an eternity ring if she does not already have one. You cannot replace the original wedding ring, but you should buy something which will compliment the ring(s) she has. If her wedding ring is unusual or has a pattern, try getting a bracelet or bangle made which would match them.

Yes, if you can afford it. My mom had a small diamond for her engagement ring, and on thier 20th wedding anniversary my dad got her a real rock. She loves it! It's a sweet thing to do. The thing is when you first are starting you're lives out together you usually don't have much money. So, later on when you do it's nice to upgrade the ring.

Ahhh That is so sweet of you.
Yes.
When my husband and I got to ten years we bought a new wedding set for the two of us. We bought it at Target, together. Mine is a band and engagement ring together. My husband has a matching band. I love it. I wear my wedding ring on my left hand and my 10 year anniversary ring on my right hand. I have had some comments, Is that another wedding ring? I explained that it was our 10 yr anniv. ring and that my husband had a matching band. They all think that it is a neat idea.
Congrats to your 10 years.

Why not renew your vows instead. It would probably cost about the same and is just as romantic.
Otherwise buy her an eternity ring, a different ring that says you'll be together forever :)
Congrats on 10 years, may you have many more happy ones together.

A Diamond anniversary ring would be better!
In addition, see the link below for these other ideas for a modern 10th anniversary:
Diamond bracelet, Diamond earrings, Diamond pendant, Diamond pin or brooch, Diamond watch, or a Diamond anklet.

Why not get her an anniversary band? Or you could get a wrap for her original wedding band...the original ring will always be very special to her!

No, you should not (unless she lost the last one). A wedding ring is not a watch or an earring, which you may replace at a whim, it is a permanent symbol of your commitment to each other.

Why not buy her an 'ETERNITY' ring. Its a third ring that she wears with her wedding and engagement rings, its usually flat like a wedding band but is inlaid with gems, diamonds hopefully. hahah... ask your jeweler about them.
